| Kitties from Heaven is a sanctuary for special needs cats located in rural central Iowa. We accept pet cats, cats from shelters and vets offices, and even stray kitties that don't seem too people friendly, and who suffer from FIV, FeLV and diabetes. We have separate rooms for kitties with each affliction and are totally cage free. Each room has furniture and shelves for the kitties to climb on, sleep on, play on, whatever their hearts desire. Each room also has a 3 foot window seat! We feed our cats a high quality hard food diet with occasional treats, and we use Feline Pine cat litter. The shelter building is on our property, so the cats can easily receive round the clock care if they need it. Pictures of our shelter are coming soon!!! So far we have taken in cats from as far away as Japan, and as close as Fort Dodge! We will not be handling both special needs cats and healthy cats in the same location. |
